Almost 20 years ago, Blizzard Entertainment released a game that would set the standard for the real-time strategy genre, inspire a generation of gamers, and show the world how powerful esports could be.

Today, we are honored to bring a classic game loved by so many into the modern era. Today we launch StarCraft: Remastered.

StarCraft®: Remastered upgrades the essential sci-fi strategy experience from beginning to end. Welcome back to the original game and its award-winning expansion, StarCraft: Brood War.

We’ve remastered our units, buildings, and environments, improved game audio, and broadened our supported resolutions. Illustrated interludes bring the struggles and victories of heroes like Artanis, Fenix, Tassadar, Raynor and Kerrigan to life like never before. Most importantly, the strategy gameplay that StarCraft perfected years ago remains unchanged.

StarCraft: Story of GG

In the late 1990’s, a fierce passion swept across South Korea, moving on to become a chain-reaction across the world, evolving it. No one had ever dreamed that such a revolution would be caused by a video game. This game. . . the one that coined the term “good game”, or “GG”, was StarCraft.

Along with these new and improved features, we’ve enhanced the game’s original audio and dialogue and updated the graphics to 4K UHD. We hope these updates will allow our community to continue to enjoy StarCraft for many years to come.

Thank you to everyone in the community who has helped us shape Remastered into the game it is today. We’re far from done, however, and we’ll still need your help as we continue to make changes and fix those pesky bugs. Here’s to another 20 years of StarCraft!
