RUIN Gaming is a PvP-first, multi-game online community. Our roots are in Diablo II, where we organized through Battle.net chat channels before official guild systems existed. We have played together for more than two decades and organize everything on Discord. Our main goals in game are organized large-scale player-versus-player (PvP) combat and progression raiding. Our operating identity fits on one line: Ruin Gaming | PvP is our business. In this article RUIN at a glance
Where RUIN comes fromRUIN began in Diablo II. Back then, Blizzard’s games had no official guild systems, so players organized themselves through Battle.net chat channels. Building structure where the game provides none is still how RUIN operates. From there, RUIN’s history runs through Blizzard’s games and through other large-scale MMOs, including Age of Conan and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. RUIN took its present name during the Warhammer Online campaign. Across more than twenty years, the organization has kept one identity: large-scale coordinated gameplay, loyalty, and putting collective competence above individual spectacle. The Fourth War and the Battle for NazjatarIn World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, the Fourth War brought the largest open-world campaign since Wintergrasp: Incursions, open-world battles, and the Battle for Nazjatar World PvP event in Patch 8.2, Rise of Azshara. RUIN organized an Alliance coalition through its War Mode communities and its traditional guilds on the high-population realms. Coordinating battles around the clock took a capable officer corps and a well-trained Alliance force. RUIN’s own campaign record states that it never lost a battle in which both sides started at zero. That experience is why RUIN treats PvP as an organizational problem: logistics, communication and leadership, not just individual skill. What RUIN plays now
In World of Warcraft: Forever, RUIN is the primary guild and handles core command and senior leadership. Supporting tags, including RUINOUS and RUIN NATION, cover overflow, regional coordination and specialized roles through the Blizzard Community System. The force combines a World PvP army with a dedicated core raid guild for the 10- and 20-player raids. Mission and valuesMission. RUIN exists to provide an inclusive, fun environment where like-minded players can take on complex, rewarding cooperative challenges together. We also share what we do through our streams, videos and articles.
