WHAT IS WOW CLASSIC?
World of Warcraft Classic is a faithful recreation of the original WoW experience, as it was in 2006. Everything about the game—from combat mechanics and talent trees, to character models and zone layouts—has been restored to realize a truly authentic experience.
When you reserve a name, you’ll also choose the realm you will play that character on. Source: Blizzard
There are a few additional things to keep in mind as you make your choice:
Players who choose to play on a PvP realm will only be able to create characters within the same faction. This means that if you create an Alliance character, all further characters on that realm must also be Alliance characters.
After WoW Classic is live, you’ll be able to create up to 10 characters on any given realm and can create a maximum of 50 characters across all WoW Classic realms. This character count does not impact the number of characters you can create on the current World of Warcraft realms.
Characters that were created for the WoW Classic beta or stress tests will not be available to use in WoW Classic.
To create a character and play WoW Classic, you will need to download and install the client first.
You’ll need to select the realm you want to play on then select Create New Character. You’ll be able to choose your faction, class, and race, as well as fully customize your new character and name them. If you change your mind about a character and have already created your three, you will need to choose a character to delete. Please note, the name associated with the character deleted will be immediately available again to be claimed.
Something sinister churns beneath the waves—the Queen of Tides’ return is imminent! Rise of Azshara, the next major Battle for Azeroth content update goes live June 25 and is packed with many new features, including the addition of Essences to the Heart of Azeroth system; two new zones to explore, Nazjatar and Mechagon!
RUIN traditionally hosts a variety of guild events in and out of game. Including Blizzcon, movie premiers, summer vacation retreats and other gaming and entertainment industry related conventions and events!

The RUIN team has been very busy reviewing games across the MMO Genre and have collaborated on building a vision to share in this Roadmap. We constantly gather suggestions and feedback directly from our communities and players in order to effect change and positive reforms within Ruin.
RUINcontinues to provide an exceptional gaming community experience for all community members. We are currently working on researching massive multiplayer content across the expanding genre while setting community mission objectives, organizing and executing events and in game content at the highest levels possible.
RUINwill continue to communicate with the player base through guild meetings and updates throughout the year. Our goal is to create a process of continuous improvement of all aspects of the Ruin community.
As part of our Community Events circuit Ruin hosted a Disneyland and California Adventure Holiday 2018 tour. A special focus on gathering information on and preparing for the opening of Galaxy’s Edge: the largest ever expansion to Disneyland.
Our mission is to provide a fun environment to play games within a like-minded community. Furthermore, we aim to provide exciting content on current and upcoming games viaYouTube, Twitch, Social Mediaand more. Subsequently, we encourage Game Developers to provide our community with massive multiplayer content that we have always envisioned, bringing virtual communities into a fully realized and complete state.
As the RUIN gaming community continues to expand, hosting over 20,000 active members with 7,000 registered on Discord, a need to facilitate and organize common procedure, training protocol and general information for use in multiple gaming platforms has arisen.

Extensive use of modern social media and integrated peer reviewed and edited rules, expectations and guidelines for all members is a critical goal for RUIN in 2019.
The Scalebreaker DLC game pack brings two new Season of the Dragon dungeons, expanding upon the events of both Wrathstone and Elsweyr. The Dragons are free from the Halls of Colossus, and now you must deal with the fallout of their release. While these stories are part of the year-long saga, you can enjoy both without having completed either of the year’s earlier content—enjoy!
For centuries, Maarselok slept deep in the mountains between Elsweyr and Grahtwood. However, upon the opening of the Halls of Colossus, this monstrous Dragon has awoken, and now threatens to spread his corruption into the domain of the Wood Elves. Only with the help of the Warlock Carindon and the forest spirit Selene can you defeat this terrifying new Dragon!
Keep both eyes on the skies! During the Season of the Dragon, you can experience a year-long interconnected adventure that begins very soon with the Wrathstone DLC game pack and continues through the upcoming Elsweyr Chapter and beyond. Here’s the Season of the Dragon schedule:

The Season of the Dragon year-long adventure is unlike anything we’ve ever released before, and Elsweyr is a huge part of this epic tale. We can’t wait to reveal everything that is coming to ESO’s newest Chapter and this massive, interconnected story, so keep an eye out for more information in the coming months
With Game Update 5.10 – Jedi under Siege, the next phase of the SWTOR storyline will kick off with a bang on the ancient Jedi world. Ravaged by a cataclysm centuries in the past, this beloved planet has been part of Old Republic stories since the original Tales of the Jedi comics, and we’re really excited to bring it to life for our players as a new Daily Area with separate Republic and Imperial storylines.
With this ancient world, we will see the return of several fan-favorite characters as well as the introduction of some exciting new characters including a powerful Jedi veteran (not Revan) who will join Republic players on their mission to protect a hidden Jedi base and a deadly commando who will aid Imperial players in their mission to destroy it. Over the coming months, we’ll bring you more details about the planet and offer more insight about the conflict.
The Exiled Lands is a brutal place and the fight for survival is difficult and relentless. With the all new Blood and Sand pack you can crush your enemies wearing new armors and wield fearsome weapons while fighting in new vaulted tunnels and arenas.

At their core massive multiplayer online games provide for the communal experience of the Great Myth a fundamental human pursuit throughout nearly ever culture and time in history. All of the intellectual properties; Star Wars, World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls etc. are modern adaptations and additions to the great human myth telling tradition. Expansive universes in which the heroic journey of many trials can be more directly experienced.
Ruin as a guild is strongest when actively engaged in challenging guild versus guild online environments with a strong support structure encouraging our members to adapt and improve in order to most fully contribute to success in our campaigns. We encourage members to immerse themselves in the rich lore and ever expanding stories that are the foundation of every game we play, invest time and pride into your characters and fully enjoy the online gaming experience to the fullest in game and within the community!

RUIN needs additional Officers, outstanding members with gaming experience, military backgrounds and professional administrative abilities should step forward for courtesy promotions to assist with day to day guild upkeep and leadership service.

The Elder Scrolls Online offers arguably the best large scale PVP environment in the Imperial Cyrodiil province. RUIN offers nightly Cyrodiil clears, offering an unparalleled level of rewards and character progression in an highly discipline siege warfare environment. RUIN continues to support the Aldmeri Dominion campaign and our faction allies.

PVP Objectives: To fight and win by providing prompt, sustained land dominance across the full range of Cyrodiil operations and spectrum of conflict in support of combatant commanders.
World of Warcrft Battle for Azeroth continues to deliver best in genre progression raiding and structured PVP. The addition of world quests, invasions and open world events provide an alternative path for character progression.
Star Wars: The Old Republicoffers one of the best leveling experiences of any MMORPG currently available. Engaging and immersive story driven game play allows for an unparalleled role playing experience, with enormous character customization and development all within the award winning Bioware Knights of the Old Republic universe.
RUIN continues our long tradition in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Construction of the Guild Ship and Stronghold on Yavin IV continue! Please pitch in towards these projects through the Stronghold Tab by donating copies of decorations to the guild.

The Ruin Technical Corps provides information technology and engineering services in support of RUIN. Warrant Officers are technical leaders and specialists.
The mission of the RWD is to develop and maintain information technology for RUIN across all current and future platforms.
Maintaining the Ruin Discord and promoting a strong presence on social media with the objective of sharing the gaming experience with a wider audience. Providing for the training, education, and inspiration of recruits in order to encourage each member to become a competent leader of character committed to the values of professional excellence and service to the greater RUINcommunity.
