Why we mustered

On May 31, 2025, Star Citizen’s official X account asked the community to “show us your best fleet pics” for #ScreenshotSaturday (the post). RUIN took that as a request for fleet media and mustered part of its capital fleet, to show how many capital-class ships can operate together in the live Star Citizen universe. The Idris and the Polaris were the showcase.

How it went

The muster brought 15 Idris and 15 Polaris together with a strong contingent of support ships and escorts. We planned it carefully and capped attendance at 30 capital ships, because server instability is a long-running concern in Star Citizen’s massive multiplayer environment.

Despite some expected frame-rate drops, the server stayed stable for the whole event. That exceeded our expectations and showed real progress in the game’s server performance. For a PvP organization, it is a preview of the large-scale space battles that draw our members to Star Citizen.

What’s next

RUIN plans similar musters for future capital ship launches, notably the Ironclad and the Javelin destroyer. Since this event, server meshing and organized-play features have continued to develop. Read Star Citizen in 2026 for where the game stands now.
