Blizzard reveals World of Warcraft Classic PvP content plan It’s time to find out what’s going to be happening with PvP when Classic releases this Summer and beyond! Blizzard have just clarified that the initial experience will be very Vanilla, as there will be no formal system for PvP, which means no Honor points, Honorable of Dishonorable kills etc.- Icy-Veins Classic PvP System OverviewBlizzard has finally detailed the full Classic PvP Content plan, including which content comes in what phase.
Honor Ranks and Titles There are a total of 14 ranks for both factions. Each rank requires a minimum amount of Rating Points to be calculated every week, then calculated in comparison to other players on your server. Each rank grants access to different rewards, from PvP consumables to Epic Mounts that do not require Epic Riding Skill and Epic pieces of gear at the highest ranks. Each rank is also applied to your character as a Title. Sources of HonorThere are many ways of obtaining Honor to increase your CPs for your character. Below, we detail all ways to earn CPs for your weekly calculations. Honorable KillsYou gain a certain amount of CPs every time to kill a player of the opposite faction, within your level range. There are certain factors that can increase or decrease the amount of Honor you gain from a HK:
Killing Racial LeadersKilling one of the NPCs considered the leaders of their race. There are only 6 of these, all on a two-hour spawn timer. They provide huge Honor bonuses, divided equally between solo players, parties and raids who participated in the kill. The racial leaders, along with their locations, are:
Battleground ObjectivesBattlegrounds contain several objectives, besides winning the Battleground (IE. capture the flag in Warsong Gulch, steal a base in Arathi Basin, or kill a lieutenant in Alterac Valley). All players of the same faction will receive the same amount of Honor upon completing a Battleground objective. General Tips for the Week
Dishonorable KillsA Dishonorable Kill, or DK, happens when killing what’s called a Civilian NPC in PvP combat. Civilian NPCs are usually lower level NPCs that are useful to the opposite faction (like vendors or questgivers) that can stall player progress when unavailable. Civilians will have a “Civilian” tag next to their names when targetted by the opposite faction. Dishonorable Kills will affect your Honor rating immediately, making you lose standings within your server and, with enough DKs, you might even lose a PvP rank. DKs are the only thing that can affect your rating when it happens, instead of waiting for the weekly reset to witness its impact. Resources Wowhead Classic
